Meet Charlotte Collier. She is the owner and operator of Personalize It Boutique on the Square in Clarkesville. She is married to Daron and has two sons, Alek and Will. Her furkids are Boomer, an Australian Shephard and Lily the cat. Originally from Tennessee, she now called Demorest home.
Q: What inspired you or led you to your current career?
A: “I was looking for happiness and I found that making others happy made me happy. I was able to use my God given artistic talent to buy joy for my community and myself.”
Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in Habersham County?
A: “Roberta, a lady that is a customer of mine . She works at a doctor’s office. She is so cool, eccentric, and down to earth. She pushes me to a whole new level, she inspires me.”
Q: What is your favorite restaurant in Habersham County, and what do you love there?
A: “I would have to say, Midtown grill. I love the Midtown burger.”
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be? And why?
A:“Austria, Sound of music tour. The movies makes me so happy.”
Q: What is the first movie you remember seeing in a theater?
A: “Strawberry Shortcake. Momma took me to see it twice.”
Q: What advice would you give a crowd of people?
A: “Never be afraid of living your dream. Never let any one tell you that you can’t do it.”
Q: What is your favorite thing about Habersham County?
A:“The sense of community and the support they give small businesses.”
Q: Where do you see yourself in five or 10 years?
A:“Right here… but I would like to branch out and have more shops. But I really am content.”
Q: What is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
A: “I have an online store, Personalize It Paws, which is in the top 500 of 1.8 million stores on etsy.”
Q: What three words mean “Home” to you?
A: “I think about where I grew up, Tennessee Mountains, peace, and comfort.”
