Meet Kathryn Thacker. Kat to her friends, she is a wife, fur mom Jasper and Pepper (cute Morkies) and a foster mom. She has had several children in short time she has been working with the Department of Family and Children Services. She works full time in the IT department for First Franklin Financial. She loves family and enjoys trips to the beach.
Q: What inspired you or led you to your current career?
A: “I loved the company I work for first and then I grew to love the job. So, I’d have to say the amazing
people I work with led me to where I am today.”
Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in Habersham County?
A: “It’s not just one person, I’d have to say all of the children that have come in my home has been very
interesting and I’ve learned so much from them.”
Q: What is your favorite restaurant in Habersham County, and what do you love there?
A: “Fenders, because they have everything, and the feel of the place is amazing. Very “back in the day” and homey feeling.”
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be? and why?
A: ” Beach, because it is so relaxing.”
Q: What is the first movie you remember seeing in theater?
A: “The Lion King.”
Q: What advice would you give a crowd of people?
A: “never give up and be strong as an individual.”
Q: What is your favorite thing about Habersham County?
A: “Definitely not the restaurant choices. Lol. Probably the fact it’s equal distance to Banks Crossing and Gainesville.”
Q: Where do you see yourself in five or 10 years?
A: ” In a bigger house, with more room for kids and puppies.”
Q: What is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
A: “I cry watching Disney movies.”
Q: What three words mean “Home” to you?
A: “Jasper, Pepper, Matt – if you mean people
