Meet LeAnne Challenger of Habersham County! LeAnne is the owner and instructor of Challenger Music in Habersham. LeAnne also offers voice and piano lessons. Her Kindermusik studio is located in the Walls Complex just south of the Clarkesville post office. LeAnne is a graduate of Central Heights Christian School, Wesleyan College, and the University of North Georgia. Q: What inspired you or led you to your current career?
A: “Love of music and children. Teaching the younger generation a passion and appreciation for music.”

 

Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in Habersham County?
A: “Ed Nichols, my grandfather. He tells great, interesting stories.”

 

Q: What is your favorite restaurant in Habersham County, and what do you love there?
A: “Midtown Grill, my favorite thing to eat is the gluten free burgers with sweet potato fries.”

 

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be? And why?
A: “Greece, I would bring my husband; It has great food and the beautiful atmosphere is so peaceful.”

 

Q: What is the first movie you remember seeing in a theater?
A: “‘101 Dalmatians’”

 

Q: What advice would you give a crowd of people?
A: “Always be kind to everyone because you never know someone’s situation, be less judgemental and respect others.”

 

Q: What is your favorite thing about Habersham County?
A: “The sense of community and local events that take place in the area.”

 

Q: Where do you see yourself in five or 10 years?
A: “Still teaching Kindermusik at a studio. I hope to expand my business with more types of music lessons and a bigger space, also a larger variety of music being taught.”

 

Q: What is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
A: “I am a classically trained opera singer! I have been in opera companies around the U.S. and in Greece.”

 

Q: What three words mean “Home” to you?
A: “Community, Love, and Comfort”
