Meet Stephanie Waters! She is a local loan officer. She has been in the banking industry for 32 years and 22 years with South State Bank. She is a huge Georgia Bulldog and NASCAR fan. She is married to Kevin. They have an 10 year old American Bulldog named Edge. At 150 lbs, he is her “baby”.
Q: What inspired you or led you to your current career?
A: “I signed up for the work program my senior year of high school. Linda Jean Black was my vocational teacher, and she placed me at Habersham Bank as a teller. My job has changed and evolved into being a mortgage loan officer and helping people achieve their dreams of homeownership.”
Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in Habersham County?
A: “The senior adults I encounter; those who remember the old days and ways.”
Q: What is your favorite restaurant in Habersham County, and what do you love there?
A: “Midtown Grill; I’m a big fan of the grilled chicken salad.”
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be? And why?
A: “I am not a traveler. I am happiest at home”
Q: What is the first movie you remember seeing in a theater?
A: “Puff the Magic Dragon.”
Q: What advice would you give a crowd of people?
A: “Be Considerate.”
Q: What is your favorite thing about Habersham County?
A: “The sense of community. I grew up in Habersham County, it’s home. Having remained local, you continue to see people who know you or your family.”

A: “Still serving the people seeking their dream homes.”

A: “I was not born here. I was born in Ravenna Ohio.”
