Meet Teresa Kimsey. She is a paramedic for the Habersham Emergency Services. She has been a paramedic for 28 years. She is a farm girl at heart. She has a potbelly pig named Josephine and two dogs, Kade and Liberty. Mother of four, Greg, Lacey, Lane and Herman. Grandmother of seven.

 

Q: What inspired you or led you to your current career?
A: “My daddy. He had a cardiac arrest and I wanted to help other people.”

 

Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in Habersham County?
A: “Miss Coffee, my 6th grade teacher. After all these years, she really sticks out in my mind. I really liked her.”

 

Q: What is your favorite restaurant in Habersham County, and what do you love there?
A: “Mc’s Kountry Kitchen. I love the stuffed bell peppers.”

 

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be? And why?
A: “Alaska to see my “baby”. He’s in the army and so far away. I miss him.”

 

Q: What is the first movie you remember seeing in a theater?
A: “Planet of the Apes.”

 

Q: What advice would you give a crowd of people?
A: “Be good to each other.”

 

Q: What is your favorite thing about Habersham County?
A: “How pretty it is here. Other places have their thing but we have it all here.”

 

Q: Where do you see yourself in five or 10 years?
A: “Retired and on a cruise.”

 

Q: What is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
A: “I’m a homebody. I love to be at home, doing my thing.”

 

Q: What three words mean “Home” to you?
A: “My young’uns. My pets. My fireplace. I love sitting in from of my fireplace. Its so peaceful.”
